What is a Yamaha Rhino?: The Yamaha Rhino
is a four-wheel drive (4X4) off-road vehicle with independent suspension manufactured from 2003
to present by Yamaha Motor Company in the U.S.A. This vehicle is operated much
like a car with a steering wheel and a brake and gas pedal and looks similar to a golf cart. The
unique 2-person four-wheel drive vehicles are classified as
Side by Sides (SideXSide) which is in between the size of ATV's and
Jeeps. Considered a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle). They can hold 2 people (driver and passenger side by side, hence the term "Side X Side". The Yamaha Rhino
is gaining popularity with customizations similar to the full-size vehicles. Other competitors of the Rhino include the Kawasaki Teryx, Polaris Ranger, Arctic Cat Prowler, and many others.

Yamaha Motor Corp. Offers Free Repair For 450, 660, and 700 Model Rhino Vehicles
Yamaha is offering FREE rear wheel spacers and removal of the rear factory swaybar and volentarly suspended sales of the Yamaha Rhino until repaired. I guess it will help with handleing and reduce potential rollovers. READ MORE HERE
NOTE: My friend removed his rear sway bar himself and said the Rhino feels better and is kinda "moon roverish" and soaks up the bumps better. Wheel spacers have also been added to a couple of the Yamaha Rhinos in our crew and they really widen the Rhino's stance and stabilize the ride. The install is very easy and similar to installing a rim and takes about 15 min. You simply remove the wheel, bolt on the spacer, then bolt on the wheel. The spacers are high quality and make a huge difference in handeling, safety, stance and overall feel. On Rhinos where spacers were installed on the front the turning radius was slightly affected, but not bad. The spacers do cause the Rhino to throw up twice the amount of dirt even with fender flairs. The overall stiffness of the steering was not really affected. Take advantage of Yamaha giving out these upgrades for free otherwise the spacers can be about $49.00 to $129.00 a pair!
